Fabulous Friday

This week Friday will be fabulous, is fabulous! This week has been nuts, this week has flashed by! Friday I will have collected all the Toby’s House Auction items and will pass them onto the women putting together the descriptions!

This year I went for donations that were baby related! I got a Peace & Mom kit from Peace Love and Momminess, “BabyLegs NotSox” and WubbaNubs from Baby and Me Gifts, the most amazing Baby Elephant Ears, adorable baby/toddler girls beanies and headbands from Maddie Couture, a boy basket and a girl basket from Jannuzzi Designs, an EveryWear Carrier from Scandinavian Child, a Lovey blanket from Little Yaya’s Boutique, a Hooter Hider and matching Burp Cloth from Jessie D. Designs
and tons more! And then not baby related I got two gorgeous embellished headbands from ChinnyLulu Designs

We also got a couple dog beds from Russo’s pets, some amazing jewelry from Traditional Jewelers, an Oreck, and a Pedal Car from Mercedes!!

I have a theory about it, God had a plan, OBVIOUSLY! But this was more than I could imagine, he’s taking it and I’ll run with it…

Tackle it Tuesday: The Closet

So this week my parents were gone and I was house-sitting for them and staying with my sisters. It was a rough week due to The Bug teething, been there done that. It’s so nice though to have them back!

I digress…

Tackle it Tuesday is/was the closet saga… Yes I said saga. First it was N’s closet then onto M’s closet, and well I didn’t really get to my closet. I’m getting on that one today. Shirts, pants, jackets, shorts, oh but please not the shoes and purses!!

N’s closet–
Clothing peices emptied: 72
Now empty hangers: 63
Pairs of shoes: 12
Room for a new waredrobe: priceless!!

Monotonous Monday

So I’m sure you’ve noticed there have been no posts the last few days… Sorry about that! Truth is, the Bug was teething and it was a seriously rough week! He got the first tooth with a little discomfort and fussiness, but the second is where it got crazy. That stubborn little tooth caused crankiness (which my little Bug rarely has), clear snotty mucous (I know that’s TMI but it had to be said), and sleepless nights (he’s slept 8-9 hours straight since he was 2 months old so this is not fun).

Anyway, the second tooth caused a slight infection in his nose so my husband and I took him to the Doctor. We love our doctor, he’s amazing, makes you feel like a person with real legit concerns not just another parent they want to roll their eyes at (like our last). I must have called 25 times that week and talked to the receptionist/nurse. Poor thing I think I was totally bugging her, best part? She would never say that, she’s the sweetest ever!

All this to say– The Bug is all better! Praise God! Well, kinda, he’s got a baby bloody nose today, it’s from all the clear-turned-green-for-two-days-snot and me doing saline drops and the nose sucker (he hates that, poor baby).

So, today is nothing short of a Monotonous Monday, back to normalcy! The Bug was up once last night but nothing terrible, nothing Earth shattering. I can handle him waking up once as long as he goes back to sleep quickly. It was the waking up every hour screaming bloody murder that pulled me out of the deepest just-got-back-to-sleep-ness that really got my heart pumping… I felt like I was experiencing what firemen go through. They get woken up by lights, alarms, and have to quickly respond… I had to do the same.

I had my bachelorette party at a firehouse before I got married! The firemen of that firehouse are wonderful, manly-yet-super-sweet guys that made us dinner and dessert of my choice and gave us a tour of their firehouse. We had tournout races (racing to put on their gear, I won over my sister!). They showed us their sleeping quarters and how they are awakened when I call comes in, thankfully none happened while we were there!

But I digress! Monotonous Monday is my new Monday posting! Today is monotonous in a good way, we’re getting back to a normal routine, a calm baby, a happy silly Bug!

Hello UBP-ers!! It was so fun to “meet” you all and read some fun and interesting posts on these blogs!
Thanks to 5 Minutes for Mom for hosting such a fabulous week long party. I have really enjoyed getting in on this great week of meeting great Mom bloggers!
I am new to this whole blogging-everyday thing and I really got in the habit of going to at least 5 different blogs per day!
